I am a football fan, so I had no doubts about what my project would be about.
2022 is a year that will live long in the memories of the fans of football. This year
has been one of the most exciting years for the world of this game because the 2022 FIFA World
Cup , an international football tournament contested by the men's national teams of FIFA's
member associations and 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, took place in Qatar from 20
November to 18 December 2022, making it the first World Cup held in the Arab
world and Muslim world, and the second held entirely in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South
Korea and Japan.
Many will agree that soccer (or football) is the most popular sport in Serbia, even
though the accomplishments of national team are not as impressive as in other team sports.
In the beginning football was an eccentric pastime, but in a brief period of fifty
years managed to grow into a favorite national sport and to occupy the interest of millions of
spectators, thus immensely influencing other spheres of life.
My project «Football in Serbia. Prospects of development» will help to look back
in the history of football and assemble the moments which made soccer popular in Serbia.
The aim of my project is to give a short overview of the origins and development
of soccer in Serbia and to answer the question what are the prospects of development of football
in Serbia.
Tasks:
1) to give a short overview of the main periods in the history of development of football in
Serbia;
2) to analyze the prospects of football in Serbia;
2) to conduct a sociological survey on attitudes towards football, process the data obtained;
3) to suggest ways to improve the activities of schoolchildren in relation to football.
In the process of project execution, I gained
a lot of new knowledge about the history of football in
Serbia, which I can share with others. I gained experience
in conducting a sociological survey and analyzing data,
which will be useful for me in my further studies at the
university. I have created an educational presentation that
can be used in class hours to popularize football.
The practical significance of our project lies
in the fact that it can be used by schoolchildren to improve
their educational level. You can conduct an integrated
lesson of English and PE. The material of the project can
be used for conducting English lessons, writing an article
for the school newspaper.
